It would be cool to meet her. I'm a fan of her for sure! She is one of the many reasons I chose this company to work for.

I just finished Orientation with Jim Palmer and am set to go out with a trainer in a day or two. I came to the Company with my CDL so I start as what they term a "C" seat driver (no CDL you are a "D" seat). 20,000 miles as a "C" then upgrade to "B" seat status for 20,000 then return to the company to be issued your truck. I have to say I am impressed at how everyone who works here interacts and treats each other. They are small enough to know your name and pay well (40 CPM + 5 CPM fuel bonus which gets paid out at the end of EACH TRIP - not quarterly). I took my road test in a brand new 2017 Pete 579 with 8,000 miles on it (most of their tractors are 2015 and newer). They drive Petes and Freightliners which are equipped with APUs, Inverters and the latest safety gadgetry such as a Lane Departure Warning System. They also offer Tuition Reimbursement ($3,500 @ $195 per month) and have a 15 month VA OJT Apprenticeship Program. They do require you to sign a one year contract but take NO money from your paycheck. At the end of one year the contract is fulfilled with no out of pocket expense to the driver. I did exhaustive research on companies that hire new CDL: graduates and this company stood out from the rest. Safe travels to everyone out there.

I'm rather curious about the C and B driving. So, do you team drive those 20k miles? Do the miles count as far as all the miles the truck goes or just the miles you drive?

All miles driven count towards the 20K requirement for each level. "C" seat drivers earn $600 per week and "B" seaters get $700 per week.

Their training program and "milestones" are very similar to the way Prime Inc. does things. I think Prime also does the A, B, C seat formula.

So I'm currently in CDL school and have been offered an orientation date with Wiltrans....but it will be 3 to 4 weeks after I graduate. It sounds as if this is a top notch, great company to start with, but not sure if it is worth waiting another 3 weeks with basically no income. Any thoughts.... @Deepdiver88
