Some guys also don't like the work involved in running avg 2 loads/day and just want to drive. From my short time in this program, my opinion is that, outside of the occasional good RPM long haul, Schneider puts out cheap long hauls they don't want and short, decent to good RPM loads that would piss of company drivers that get paid by the mile...company guys don't want to run 2 loads at 3-400 miles/day when they are only making 35cpm. Everything else put out is crap they can't cover or need recovered from a company driver f ing up.

Good point I guess...I forgot I'm thinking logically from the point of view of wanting to retain good, safe, reliable drivers...not as a bean counter that just wants to fill cheap seats.

There you go. It will be packaged with a spiffy add for O/O looking to increase revenue. The investor's will love it and will officially be my cue to jump ship

doesnt matter if they have a lease payment or a paid off truck with alot of bills at home, either way thats how you enslave people, that 2008 recession u guys keep talkn about, i didnt even know it happened, why, prob because i wAsnt on here reading about drivers talkn about the recession lol im sure i had loads cancel, but i was home everyday and when a load canceled i went and found somthin else to do because i dont live in debt and live a simple life, anything else is a sure way to enslave urself. the only way to turn the tables is when the company needs the driver more than the driver needs the company, and we know thats not gonna hapoen, but it certainly isnt gonna happen untill someone tells it like it is, but people dont like reality, they like distractions like the superbowl and chicken wings lol "i freed 1000 slaves, i couldv freed 1000 more if only they knew they were slaves".

This could be one of the more ridiculous posts I've ever read. Who is being enslaved again? I could also eat bark off a tree and fill my basement with survival food. Thanks for the advice there Dave Ramsey. Everything I have is paid for (except a small fishing habit). Still doesn't mean I should be happy with low rates. Your post comes across as if you just live simple then all is good. This is why trucks tops are filled with people walking around in Pajama's.

@sealevel ...methinks you missed @againstthewind point.

    Both y'all's saying same thing.

He has no pressure to accept cheap rates

You not happy with cheap rates.

End result?...you can still happily turn down cheap loads...until this comes up...Assuming it applies to your equipment...

I get your point, but that was a bad load to use as an example. Need more details to know if that's a good paying load, or a ridiculously cheap one. Is it 9 ft wide or 19 ft wide?

Honestly, I have no idea if that's bad/good/great....

Hence my caveat about "if it applies to your equipment"

I'm compiling my own database of loads having dollar amounts that catch my eye...then digging through them to understand what makes them bad/good/great

I suppose a call to that broker should clear that up quick for the interested party.
