If I REALLY didn't do it..... If the ticket was issued wrong, Yes, I'd get an attorney from any number of resources & fight it tooth & nail. Absolutely!

I wrote a judge once several counties over when under suit for a accident that should have been covered by someone's insurance somewheres. Explaining my own losses in the situation.

It was enough to be entered and get this thing settled so that we all can move on. It worked out well. Im not usually in the habit of writing judges. Ugh.

I got a ticket like yours just south of Houston where the speed limit is 55 or 60 I think.

Anyway,.. went online and googled traffic layers for Houston. Called up and the first one was a spanish guy. I gave him $100 dollars. 2 weeks later he told me they would reduce it to a non moving violation. $75 fine. Never went to court and paid the fine online.

Lawyer explained to me that they do thousands of these. 99% are dismissed or reduced.

Lawyer up. You do not want that kind of speeding ticket on your MVR.

Got a letter back finally. They responded with "Your motion to reduce the Violation to a Lesser Non-Moving Violation is hereby denied. Please send a money order in the amount of 299.00 on or before February 3, 2017" I suppose I fight the ticket now eh? Problem is I have to keep working I don't have money to take time off of work. I know the ticket was a lie in the first place. I was not doing 72 in a 50. I knew the letter was going to be a waste of time but figured I would give it a try since everyone said so. Does it now hurt my chances of fighting it because I already sent a letter asking for it to be lowered? hence making them believe I plead guilty to the charge. Problem is this place is also out in the bum#### middle of nowhere. Could not find a single lawyer to represent my case cause no one wants to go out there. Its in Linden, TX if anyone knows a good traffic lawyer I could use the info.

I know there is one in Tyler cause I used to run that area 3 times a week & there was an attorney that advertised fighting speeding tickets but that was pre 2013, so I dont remember who it was but I know there is one there.

    Good luck.
