Sunline Energy Services hauls crude, condensate and LPG in S.texas. They also have a flat bed division based in Harlingen that hauls carrier ac units out of the excel plant out by the Toyota plant in San Antonio. I was a manager in the energy services div and here is the low down based on my experience. The drivers are paid as follows; some % and some hourly, which caused a lot of friction amongst the drivers. If management wanted to get rid of a driver for anything as simply not liking that individual they would be placed on percentage and would subsequently make a lot less money and quit. The district mgr Juan and the dispatchers treated drive as if they were incompetent imbeciles incapable of making simple decisions for themselves. They would shout, cuss and treat drivers with general disrespect on the phone and also in person. The so called maintenance mgr aka parts changer doesn't respect drivers and when informed of a problem comments that there isn't anything wrong and that the driver is an idiot who is only stalling before going out to collect crude oil. They have about 25 owner ops as well who are treated they same way and most quit because they can't make any money because loads are given based on favorites and there are only about 4 owner op who get most of the good paying loads. Good luck and be safe out there

There's a posting in the San Antonio craigslist for an oo. Long loads from south Texas to LA.

Pfft...45% of net. I hung up after that.

Pulling their crappy trailer to boot, definitely not worth it. They expect you to drag that trailer no matter what and you better not have the audacity to complain about lights, tires, hoses, fitting etc. Professional drivers who are used to doing a thorough pre-trip will land on the maintenance department list of persona non grata very quickly

I know this is an old thread but several of their O/O are usually hiring. They used to have a division that runs from San Antonio, TX to Shreveport, LA hauling some kind of oil. I believe it was AC-5 but it was a sweet plant to plant transfer. I’m not sure if they’re still doing that or not. They also haul crude oil and LPG. I ran 1 load for one of their O/O and left but it wasn’t the work or Sunline, it was the O/O that wanted you to run 24/7 that made me leave.
