Just putting this out.. This is good news for Trucking. ELD might not be a Mandate lol
President Trump issued Friday an order to executive agencies directing them to freeze all new regulations pending further review by Trump and his team

 

You've been given the honest truth and basically told us we didn't know what we was talking about.

Fyi, that guy you've been talking to at the freightliner dealership can't give you a loan. He van only collect forward your info to the real decision makers.

Getting a truck loan comes down to 4 things. Personal credit history, size of your down payment, your bank account balance and recent history (basically the last 6 monthly statements) and if you have successfully completed a truck loan before. First time buyers require better credit, bigger down payment and reserves, and their spending and savings habits are more closely scrutinized than someone who had6 successfully paid odds a truck loan before. These things probably account for 95% of the decision. Everything else, including business credit, might add up to 5%

 

Ok, here is the document that I prepared. It has now grown to 14 pages, but that is because I included many direct quotes that I felt were very important to my understanding. The last 8 pages are quotes from you guys. Hey!!! Don't blame me, you guys just put out so much dang good information in these now 2008 pages.

I would not expect you guys to read all of it, but I would think that it would be a small price to ask prospective O/Os to do it.

If any of you are willing, please at least verify the validity of the first six pages less a page or two that contains the Mercer requirements since it is directly from the Mercertwon website.

Cj might have a point if things didn't work themselves out the trailer is mine April 1'that opens up lots of options but have to admit I would hate to leve a place that treats you like a family friend

 

the key words here are NEW regulations, the ELD regulation was published a year ago and is being ramped up now, with final implementation required in 11 months. It is highly unlikely this would change.

 

Even if it did I doubt mercer would give it up

TBH I have more faith in Mercer then that. I'm sure the issues will be resolved or if not that the old site is left up until most of them are. Don't get me wrong, if they are not I would be forced to move on. But it would be hard because this place is like family. And if I left LS really isn't on my list still. Tho I might move to Florida and pull engines, LOL.

No in all honesty I will most likely start driving as a team doing PSP loads here before years end. But that's another story.
