One thing I don't play with is tires so if you think you needed tires and they didn't fix it I'd hop out the truck for safety reasons

Tires.. Let's talk about those.... let's see. I've got two good steers. Three ok shape drives. And four mismatched used trailer tires on the tag axle. Those are within 1-2mm within regs so they're not getting replaced and when they do get too low they get replaced with a used trailer tire that's 2-3mm within regs.
Fourth drive tire is same mediocre thing as the first three. Except it leaks air. Not audible so they won't replace it. But every morning it's a part of my pre trip. Hook up the air line that I bought for this and fill up the tire that's down to 20psi.

    Safety!

Edit: and after nine months of nothing happening to this truck, a swift just clipped my mirror in this straight pull through space. With his mirror. No damage though.

If it's down to 20 Psi every morning than it's considered a Flat.

Contact the Breakdown Dept and tell them that you have a Flat and it needs to be fixed.

It takes about 24-30 hours to get that low. Not a really big deal. According to the shop in charlotte anyway

Concerning the new pm rotation. Oil change hasn't changed. Only thing changing is the grease job. With the newer trucks they have more sealed fittings instead of the old school zerk fittings. So there is less for mechanics to do. What this will do is increase express Bay times because now they are opened to having fix more things drivers break. As for tires no new or recaps in Dec due to not meeting there budget. Also no full set of tires till your pm.. Tip morning before pm lower one or two tires to 50 psi they will have to change it.

If a tire has an air leak, any air leak, according to DOT the truck can be placed OOS until fixed. Charlotte has no say in the matter, get it fixed!

    Friday and mindes Thank this.
