    Pointers req...Im trying what you and mark suggested....ss mount(good grounding on the door)27" shaft for my 10k..Lean anout 45 deg....
    Gonna take my 7ft skip shooter when i leave next..Get some pvc pipe to brace it with to..

    I did the same thing. It gets the antenna up high enough that it doesn't have issues with the cab affecting swr.

    Mine works great. Although I actually use it for a vhf/uhf antenna. I've found that I could get better swr on the cb by removing the fm splitter and only using the drivers side factory mount for my cb.

    Thought it was impossible to have the same swr all across all 40.....
