Why do you always have to have a problem with everything posted that you dont agree with. You are not the teacher and the rest of us uneducated students, give your advice or feedback based on your own experience and stop being so combative and feel like you have to prove a point with every post and prove that you are 100% right all the time.

Every amp I have purchased came with a spec sheet recommending carrier input and max pep swing and proper amp draw and I always followed those recommendations and never have had a problem( knock on wood) I didnt realize all this time I needed to be an electrical engineer, guess I lucked out never burning up my pickup truck.

Back in the days(1980), i had bought a Magnum 125 linear (used)from a driver. I hook it up and it work, when it work. I knew ther purpose but was not to "Savy" back then. This was with my Cobra 29GTL. Anyways, got so tired of having it check out that I just threw it in the trash after farting with it for few years. Funny thing was I had left the power wire for it on the dash, so one day I get pulled in the 405 northbound scales in Carson Ca., and the "FCC" came to my truck, showed me his credentials and told me the purpose why I got pulled in. He saw the wires and kept asking about them, he followed them and found nothing. He said what the fines was if one has a linear, etc.... Was I lucky that linear took a dump and I got rid of it when I did. So folks, there is a FCC that enforces when it comes to this stuff. After that, I never had own one. The good ole 80's.
