Something that LandLine Now has is the "tri haul of the day" The DAT guys analyze the data, and offer a three leg trip that pays better than a 2 leg trip.
Finally got my own truck

@BoyWander i have a couple of spreadsheets I built to look at your per load, week, month profitability. It's supper simple. You enter the time the load will take you in days or fractions and the miles and it spits out what the rate needs to be for profit or lack there of. I could put in your projected fixed and veriable costs and email it to you. I am teaching a new dispatcher and it is really helping her find and book better rates. Once set up, it takes 4 or 5 digits and you have the TRUTH of what you NEED to shoot for on each load, week, month. With my new dispatcher I am up $.42 cpm all miles in the first 5 weeks this year. I kept track of every load and miles last year to make this to see if it would be accurate for me. So far so good.
The guy I'm leased to hates it but I told him to use it for me or I'm out! He is trying to punish me by not letting me use his direct freight. Funny how I'm making more and working less with load board freight. He is starting to see the light.
Let me know?
I suggest this for you to use yourself as you try and book your own loads. You seem like a smart guy and this is just another tool. People that have been around a while just seem to do it on gut feel and instincts. I like to work on facts. Helps me make better choices most of the time.Last edited: Feb 3, 2017

Quick question, what keeps you from putting a receiver hitch on your truck and using Uship to pull loads back north? For example, right now there's a 16' boat already on a trailer that looks to be paying about $700 and there's a 53' trailer that needs to be moved from Homestead, FL to Miami, FL that pays about $700.
I'm not an O/O but a guy from the outside looking in and wondering why more folks aren't taking advantage of either these loads or similar Craigslist loads.

What is he supposed to do with his own trailer?
