First you need to sit down with him and have a talk. Give him a min PM that you will run for and tell him not to call you for less. My coordinator refuses everything below my min. If for some reason I decide I want something cheap (it's light and going a mile from the house let's say) he doesn't get his feathers ruffled. He has his marching orders and now we work great together. But I also take the time to communicate what my intentions are and what/when I need him to be searching for loads. By keeping him informed of what I want to accomplish he doesn't have to call and ask me. And when he dose call me he has his ducks in a row now (this hasn't always been true). He will tell me how many trucks are in an area vrs loads. Pay coming out of an area. Area those loads are going to........
Second have you been in their offices? Those white boards with all the numbers are there for a reason.Airborne Thanks this. -
Thanks Spyder! I am about 166 pages in...so I have a lot more reading to do.
Here is another question for anyone who might know. My husband is Canadian and is getting his permanent residence soon (his green card) to live with me in the US. Are there any other Canadians on this board in his same situation? How do we bring his truck to the US? Do we have to import it before Mercer could get plates for his truck?
Thanks again!

I'm sorry to ask so many questions (as I know some of them may already be answered in this thread already), but lets say we set our preferences to $1.90 per mile. From what I understand our coordinator will refuse anything under that amount. What if I am on the board and see a load for $1.70 and decide I want the load, but the coordinator has already refused it for me on my behalf? Can I go back into that load and change the refusal to a commit?
Thanks! -
Yes you can accept the load call mercer on the truvk issue we have Canadian trucks in the fleet

Frt60: thanks! My husband used to work for Landstar and he had Illinois plates on his Canadian truck...so I am thinkkng he could get Mercer's base plates (from Illinois too?). The only difference is that he was living in Canada at the time and if he leases on at Mercer he will be living in the US. I'll give Mercer a call

Well @spyder7723 I appreciate the offer, but I'm already back out of Florida. The Keys are nice, have to go back again sometime, and I'm not sure why I've never taken US41 instead of paying for I75 through the 'Glades before, not a bad road.
