FedEx has taken hits for what seems to be less than this.

First off, this company has routinely set precedence by grandfathering in current contractors/trucks, and not forcing changes to those already here.

2nd, there are still lease/purchase trucks out there, not yet paid for, that don't have this crap on them. Unless these trucks will all be paid for my the August 1 date, it's gonna be hard to force these people into upgrading trucks that Schneider sold them.

I would like to see a lawyer get ahold of all of this just to see if there is a legitimate lawsuit angle.

They may be air tight on this, but what they are doing is underhanded and just wrong.

They'll spend more on their Lawyers making it air tight than it'd of cost them to just give up a little control.

However I believe Green Bay Corporate has Napoleon syndrome and can't stand to not have absolute total control of everyone who is associated with the pumpkin.

If nothing else, it would be nice to see them at least forced to spend some of that money on this, since they are costing many of us a ton as a result of this ignorant decision.

My ICA is looking into it, along with someone else he CC'd, but in the meantime I called Bendix tech support.

I was told Volvo's VEC is just what I had hoped, simply a rebranded Bendix Wingman system.

As far as the 1 aug date, I would put good money down they chose that date for a reason. IE: their leased trucks without it will be done with the contract by then.

I don't see any valid reason for a lawsuit.

I won't be surprised at all if this all ends up changing. It's not just the owner operators who are angry about this, but people on the inside as well from my conversations. Fingers pointing directly at safety for this, and I think it will be more than just the drivers who are fighting this.

The drivers will just accept it as a price for doing business with the pumpkin.

The office people are only concerned because they have to listen to the drivers, the best way to not have an angry driver is to say you agree with him or her.

As you can see there's drivers on these threads already defending SNI on this issue.

Same drivers that say those of us who voice our concerns should just leave.

Probably the same drivers who do empty trailer moves for free at the direction of SNI.

I'm not only just about done with SNI but just about done with TTR.

How much data is sent back from these units...? It has to be more than critical events.....

On FB the cool-aid drinkers are saying 6k to install the system on a truck.
