Also, for anyone trying to figure out what a publicly traded Schneider will look like, you are witnessing it happen before your very eyes. Publicly traded transportation stocks are a dime a dozen. Beyond compliance is what Loffgrenn is selling. Not drivers.
Investor's don't want drivers. They want a company that is looking to fast track driverless trucks.
We are officially the "Orange" Swift, and man did it happen fast.

jonargal, RStewart and TennMan Thank this.

Actually it's a private forum, that's why they can moderate it as they please.

We will soon be called Business Owner in place of Independent Contractor and the ICR/ICA will be replaced with BOR/BOA.

Everyone doesn't book freight while driving but some do... You can't do nothing about that.. Welcome to independence...

Again, I'm not saying there is any sort of rock solid case, none of us are lawyers, and none of really know one way or the other.

Thing is, some of the things you say have been blown out of the water in past lawsuits.

Nobody forced a lady to buy a hot cup of coffee from McDonald's, and until it happened nobody thought you could sue and win for such a thing.

I can remember when the whole Fed Ex thing started, everyone laughed about it and said Fed Ex would win. They are now out over a half billion dollars, not including huge court costs, and stood to lose much more had they fought this to ultimate defeat.

The fact stands, those affected are being damaged financially by a decision made by Schneider. Whether you buy another truck, whether an aftermarket option becomes a possibility, or you move on, your company is suffering a loss because of Schneider. Your are choosing to take this loss, it is being forced upon you no matter which direction you go.

Schneider also requires a Qualcomm. Since they require it, how do they address the situation? They pay for it 100%.

Regardless the outcome of a lawsuit though, I'm sure it's the last thing that the company wants over their head this year, and it's likely a contributing factor for them pushing the date late into 2018.

    I hear ya!

It's funny because there's only a couple of business owners in the whole IC fleet. Most of us are just self employed. I guess it makes things look more official to them. Idk...

I never said "everyone". And yes you can do something about it. Driver facing cameras. When that happens the sky will fall and the funny thing is it won't cost anyone a dime. This independence you are speaking of is at Landstar?;)
