I like good weather year round, so can't give good advice on those cold states. That's why I relocated to Las Vegas. No personal income taxes, reasonable rents or purchases of homes, plenty of good trucking jobs.
Old Navy buddy of mine moved to Boise,Idaho and loves it there. Haven't seen him in years though.Last edited: Mar 12, 2017

As a life-long resident of western Washington, I can tell you, despite the left leaning politics (not interested in getting into it with anyone, thanks), I can't think of anywhere else I'd want to live. I have family and friends in the Spokane area, they seem to be pretty happy there, as well. In Washington, you have a complete variety of geography statewide: desert and wide open farmland in the east, the Columbia River splitting the state, the Cascade and Olympic mountain ranges, and the coast.
As far as job prospects, in the Spokane area I can't be sure, specifically. A friend of mine's husband drives for Boeing and is based out of the Spokane area. My company also has a presence in the area; we currently have three drivers based out of Spokane, and I'm guessing that presence will grow over time.Last edited: Mar 11, 2017

Much like you I would love to pack up and move to Washinton.. I have been watching for the right job to open that offers $1500 a week and a total relocation package.. lol but no luck thrust far..
I did see that Sysco in Post Falls ID was hiring with a sign on bonus.. And I know Spokan has a large bread bakery, with a ton of day cabs in the yard of 90.. There is also a Safeway D.C. In spokan..
Swift was offering an $8000 dollar bonus for intermodule out of Kent, WA.. And I know JB is hiring for intermodule As well in Seatac area..
If you find that perfect job let us know, I'll come be your neighbor.. lolJReding and KillingTime Thank this. -

All of us Easterners go thru that rip annually... Some, Maine pay an excise tax to their municipality based upon the vehicles MSRP value.... Supposedly it's used to 'fix the roads'.... And then you have Vermont: flat rate, but an annual none the less..... Either way, I'm near certain the annual inspect is what's keeping all the mechanics in biz. Lol.
Example: 'Oh your tires bear the wrong speed rating. It should be a Z, not a W.'......... MF'er, do you foresee me doing 160, or even 130mph in this rip-roaring Suzuki?.... Some of the BS I've heard from con-artist mechanics around here.Ryan423 Thanks this. -
Toomanybikes, Oxbow, Mike2633 and 1 other person Thank this.
