The American League has been referred to as the Junior Circuit and the national league was called the Senior Circuit years ago

100 miles away. And right now I couldn't afford to be a entry level Wally driver. It takes years before you start making the good money there because the senior drivers get the cake runs and the new hires get the table scrapes and work the dock. A friend of my wife is in middle-management in the Alachua D/C and we had a talk a while back about driving for them...I don't have the savings to work my way up the ladder. Plus their level of micro-managing makes places like Crete look like a cake walk. In cab cameras, phone use monitoring. By the way it sounds, I wouldn't be surprised if they had methane monitoring in the cab to make sure you don't fart too often without authorization.

You have no idea what you are talking about. Read the Walmart forum. It will give you some insight to the job. When I started 3 years ago I made over 90k. This year I made 110k. Those are some pretty good table scraps for an entry level guy.

So how many years did you work out of the Brooksville or Alachua D/C's? Not all D/C's have the same amount of business. When I worked for Crete, they had the Sterling IL D/C and couldn't keep drivers in there because the miles sucked, but the drivers at the North Platte and Ochaleta/Bartlesville D/C loved it (until they were underbid by CRE in Ochaleta and lost it). Down where I live there are numerous D/C's within 100 miles of my home. So new hire drivers don't get great miles down here. It is rare that there is even an opening. Not long ago I saw a Swift daycab pulling an Alachua load, they were being used as a pop-up fleet to supplement during the busy times instead of putting on new drivers. I spoke to some of the drivers down here, and they verified what I was told about new drivers not getting miles, so I guess they were lying. As for the cameras and phone usage monitoring, those were also what the drivers said were policies in the works because of the Tracy Morgan crash. If it isn't true or they didn't follow thru with their plans, then I was mistaken...I got the information from the guys in the white shirts, face to face, not on some internet forum thread... I put more faith in what someone tells me to my face rather than someone who only has to use their fingers on a keyboard living nowhere near where I live.

No, but if you #### me a solid gold turd, I would probably complain because you didn't wipe it off.

Update....should have put a  at the end of that statement so it wouldn't be misunderstood as a serious statement.
