I replaced my stereo with a fancy one. I bought the plug ready made from bigrigstereo and it works like a charm.

Thank you crc2 for the detailed instructions. For those who want to replace the factory radio in their semi truck then here is how I did on my 2015 Volvo V670:
I bought a radio removal tool for less than $5 at Walmart. Then I ordere the metra radio harness from amazon (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000I2T4G6). It was under $10. Then I bought a new Pioneer with Bluetooth at Walmart for $100 and I installed it today. The metra wire harness is missing 3 pins (A1, A2, A3) but I don't feel that anything is missing so far. So just ignore those 3 missing pins. On tge A connector I had to match the yellow with the red and the red with the yellow when I connected them to the adapter. Everything else goes color by color. I completely ignored the C connector and again, so far everything looks good. As far as connecting the Metra adapter with the one that came with the Pioneer radio, I used heat shrinked butt splices and heat gun. I got those at Home Depot. Plus I had to terminate three wires as they had no pairs. The whole project cost me $110. I think I mentioned all the main steps. If you need more info you can go to youtube or reply here. I was a little afraid that I will cause short circuit or fire but so far so good And I did not remove the negative cable from the battery. Ahhh...finally I can enjoy the music via bluetooth...it is so convenient.Attached Files:

It has the highest level of radio.
Am/fm, CD, USB PORT in dash (with AUX 1/8" stereo input), Sirius, weather band, Bluetooth.
It also has the radio and phone/Bluetooth controls on the steering wheel.
We would like to replace the head unit and be able to keep all the functions.
The Bluetooth receives audio, but cannot transmit. The microphone is not the cause. Tested that. It is the radio itself.
Can we replace with a decent head unit that doesn't cost $900 Canadian installed, and still keep the same functions?
Thanks -
For those of you that have changed your radio, were you able to keep your steering wheel control functions?

Anyone able to retain steering wheel controls with there aftermarket radio? I know there are adapters to do it, but, nobody knows what wires to connect to adapter. I wonder if this is what the "c" plug is for

I got Volvo late 2010 too. Got Metra "scorpion" brand on ebay, thank for the link privided on the forum. I had to move around pins in the power-plug "A"(blue) while the sound-plug "B"(brown) was matching.
So in plug "A" I used contact "6-PWM OR ANALOGUE DIM" to connect "Illumination" (usually orange with white stripe) from the radio but it doesn't seem to dim rhe radio. A1, A2, A3, A5 didn't use, thanks for advice!
