Way back when before I started to haul gasoline I was driving out of Jacksonville FL driving an Astor 95 290hpW10 speed. Those trucks did run. some up to 77mph. That's when the speed limit was 55mph for everyone. We would drive to a state stop unload what they needed for their stores. Most of the time we ran double but this one run the boss said go ahead you can do it. From JAX to PHXALB to MONTGOMERY TO MERIDIAN my last drop was GULFPORT. The strange thing on that trip was when I was driving down US49 and I was at hour 39 I could not go any further. I started to look for a turnout to where I could get at least 20 min cat nap. No place at all. This truck just about had me when I looked up a saw a turn out on the left and it even had a sign trucks welcome. I pulled in there, poured out of the truck and went in. It was a state rest area and inside and old timer with a fresh pot of coffee. I stayed there until the sun came up then said goodbye.
whats the longest you have drove without stopping?

The properly conjugated past participle of 'drive' is 'driven'.
Drive.
Drove.
Driven.
I drive - I drove - I have driven....... It's about duration and duration removed....

Drived.
Language is a contract to communicate. If you succeed in communicating as intended, the specific usage is only important to some anal-retentive jack*** with tenure and no actual productive purpose for living...
It's when the communication attempt fails, that's when the specific correct usage matters, and then only if knowing it would have helped communication to be more successful.
Also, whether you double space or not on a business letter has next to no impact at all on the success or failure of the proposed transaction.
Just puttin' that out there, so that Mrs. Harris can get over herself about resume cover letters for third graders...Last edited: Apr 10, 2017

Nashville,TN to Orlando,FL to Everglades to Wheeling,WV to Columbus,OH and headed back to Orlando,FL when the safety man shut me down in Knoxville.
Nashville,TN to Stockton,CA to West Wendover,NV.
This was common when I drove for XpressCo out of Nashville,TN. Pills & miles. When the company closed the doors, the man that owned the company opened a new company named Western Express. I know Western Express gets lots of bad press on here, but the owner was a good guy and the drivers respected him. I really liked working for him. I didn't drive for Western Express, so can't give any facts about that.Florida Playboy and Crusader66 Thank this. -

I unloaded on a Wednesday afternoon in Southern Utah and headed for Calgary Alberta, it was around 1000 Miles. Got there Thursday evening and my buddy from back home threw a party cause I was coming into town. Drank Captain Morgan rum and partied with strippers all night then went and loaded a conveyor system on Friday that had to be at Logan Airport in Boston MA Monday morning at 8am. I made it. Needles to say the ole Pete didn’t cool off much that trip aside from the about 20 hours in Calgary. That was 20 years ago. I could never do that nowadays. Likely not going to live to be very old because of the time I spent running like that either.
