You have to got through the process as the other carriers do. They have all the info on the USPS site and if I remember right, you have to have an authority and a company, not just a truck.

    Hi Giuseppe,
Which load boards can I find mail hauling runs? I've applied on the USPS ESOURCING page and waiting for a contracting agent to invite me. But in the meantime I'd like to start hauling mail for the USPS. Any loadboards or tips you could give me?

They filed for bankruptcy. Talked to a driver yesterday and he said they held one month pay back. He cannot get a answer from company if he will be paid or get the vacation owed.

He said owners are scum bags and only works there because only job in his rural area. He is in hopes of getting hired on with new contractors.

Anyone know if Feds are going to seize the ownerships personal property. Driver said they have millions they took from company and used to by land and other investments.

I never understand why when drivers aren't getting paid and continue working for a failing company they don't look into legally taking the truck as collateral?

I know mechanics can do this (mechanics lien) there must be some means for drivers to be able to do this as well.

Especially if you've got a dedicated route with regular clients miles away from corporate.

Situation like this? You simply become an o/o, cut out the middle man, and bill directly.

anyone here know anything about Southern Mail out of Texas?
They have a craigslist ad wanting drivers for Indiana. Supposedly paying around $22 an hour.

I know a couple of higher ups from Eagle went there. They bought Byrd a few months ago. As of about a month ago they only thing they had out of Indy was Chicago and back. My red flag with them is any extra health and welfare pay they force you to put into a 401k. Too many past bad situations with companies doing that. Not saying anything against Southern, just I don't prefer the forced 401k garbage.

Reputable company from what I have heard. Drivers I have seen like it. I would caution their holding back the unused health and welfare from the driver and telling them its going into a 401K. More then a couple companies have pulled this on the drivers and they backpocket the money and the driver never sees it. Not sure if Southern Mail is doing this also

    sevenmph Thanks this.
