Thankfully, I managed to dodge this bullet. I have a two-stopper heading to Arizona, due Monday. First stop is Naco, AZ, a tiny little town mostly on the Mexico side of the US/Mexico border, but with a sliver of the town just inside the US.

Looks like it's going to be fun to get to. I should be able to reach my delivery destination by Sunday night (appt. is 8:00am local time Monday morning). However, there doesn't seem to be any place nearby to park for the night. So instead, I'm gonna aim for a Loves on I-10 which is an hour and a half away.

Looks like I'll get to drive through Tombstone while I'm down there, so that'll be cool.

Tombstone is real cool I dated a girl from there back in the late 80's. She was as wild as the town was back in the day.

You won't fit on the consignee's property at all?. The place will be deserted on a Sunday night which is perfect for doing any backing and positioning pre Monday delivery. Even the street should be OK, if the town is as small and quiet as you say.

Some of those distributors I have been to, there would be no way of getting in there during business hours when a bunch of 4 wheelers start filling in the empty spaces.

I've just been looking on Google maps at Naco AZ, and there seems to be a dirt strip off S Friend Dr right behind the Gay 90s Bar. Not suggesting anything, mind you.:angel4:

Seems to be some old rail or cattle trailers parked on that dirt road that would be perfect camouflage for a throbbing uh, reefer.

Tiny little town, that close to the Mexican border. No way would I spend the night there. I think your plan to stay at Love's is the best option.

I was going to suggest the same thing. The wall isn't up yet and that's wide open spaces there. Not saying anything might happen, but if it should, they won't find you.

There is no way anyone in their right mind would get anywhere near an Abilene reefer at full chat unless they absolutely had to.

Those Sicarios may be psycho, but they are not stupid. ;)

Anyone know if we have anywhere near Nashville or Knoxville that we could park a truck for a week of hometime?. The closest place I can think of is USX in Ellenwood GA, but even then I am not sure if it would be OK to leave the truck there for that long.

    Beats me.

I generally don't like to gamble when it comes to parking. Unless I know for a fact that I can park overnight on the consignee's yard (or close to it), I'm gonna find the closest truck stop to the consignee and park there instead.
