Pretty sure that was a perspective illusion as I've been forced to drive through the pumps to get out of that turdhole many a time.

Could be. Alls I know is: I didn't wanna chance it and find out the hard way that I was right.

Yep, still lurking about. Between a new relationship (going great:)), lots of dental work (looking great :D) and just getting a new apartment last Thursday, life has been a tad busy on my end. Add to that some really nice running the past few pay periods and things are really looking up for me as I rebuild.

As @JohnBoy said, headed for Riverside with a Sabra load. Left Friday afternoon and just parked in NM at Sky City for my 10. Load delivers 3am the 26th so I'll get a reset in for the turn around East.

Things here are turning around for me now. As I'm learning how the "Abilene system" works, in large part due to John's advice along the way (thanks brother), as well as getting to know folks in the company, I'm getting better miles, more of the runs I enjoy (still get the other stuff too ... lol) and just a smoother overall level of communication now.

Yeah, Chris is a pretty happy trucker. ;)

Not much. But it's your thread so I figured, what the hey, give the boy a plug .... lol :p

Sounds good man. Getting up at 11 local. Rolling shortly after midnight.

Abilene pulls reefer sometimes huh? 3am delivery gives that away.

70/30. There are times you'll go months without seeing one. Then other times that's all you'll pull.

Some of our biggest customers, namely Sabra hummus and Boar's Head lunchmeat, require us to haul reefer.

Occasionally you'll get it for other stuff, too. I hauled a load of wood flooring in a reefer over the winter because they wanted to keep it from freezing. Temp was set to 65F, while the temp outside was 30F.

Interesting. Would have never thought of something like that to keep it from freezing. That's pretty cool you get a variety of freight too. Still 100% no touch? I submitted an app about a week ago but no calls yet.
