So here is a recap of my orientation if anyone is interested:
I left St Louis on Easter Sunday (4/16) heading to orientation at Western Express in Nashville. When I arrived in Nashville I called an Uber to get to my hotel. Better than waiting on the shuttle considering it was Easter Sunday.
The hotel was absolutely disgusting and of coarse there are two people to every room. My recruiter was supposed to request a private room for me and I had buy out the other bed for 25 dollars a night. Well clearly she "forgot" to do this so I had to stay in the room with someone because the hotel needs authorization from Western to allow you to buy the other half of the room. BS!
Monday (4/17) started orientation at Western Express. It was hectic as we all had to do paperwork, drug tests, (urine only, no hair tests) driver simulator and pre-trip class.
Tuesday (4/18) was a full day of DOT classroom fun. Ugh.
Wednesday (4/19) the people that passed their drug test got their hire packet with fuel cards and then took a driving test. (I passed everything btw).
Thursday (4/20) was the first day of load securement class for flat bed- yes more classroom!
Friday (4/21) was day two of load securement, we went out on the yard and learned hands on how to secure coils and loads and how dangerous improper securement can be. (Deadly)
Saturday (4/22) we took drivers loads apart and properly secured them... I was surprised how many loads were not done right. Stupid! Then we took our load securement final test.
Sunday (4/23) I was off and it rained all #### day so I stayed in the motel.
Monday (4/24) we took more loads apart and got our trainers assigned to us. I left Nashville around 11pm with my trainer. We delivered a load in Indianapolis Tuesday (4/25) and headed north to Elkhead Indiana. I am here because my trainer gets a few days off between trainees. They put me up in a nice ### hotel and that is where I am now and will be until Friday when we head out. Thank god I am out of that ghetto crack motel in Nashville! (Westerns motel) Today I walked to Wal-mart to get more supplies and laundry detergent for my journey.
Tomorrow I'll do laundry here at the hotel and relax. ✌

Congratulations !!!!!! And best of luck to you sir !!!!!!
I have purchased my own hotel room during orientations .... The company I'm with now puts us up in our own room during orientation and will put us up in our own room if we judge weather conditions to be to bad. The only company I've ever known that does this.Braydinsdad Thanks this. -
Is the motel the one just off Trininty Lane? There's a truck stop across the interstate from the motel?
