They have also been spamming Facebook a lot with recruiting. Any company that needs to do this can't possibly have that low of a turnover rate these days.

A recruiter called me Tuesday. Saying "we see you've expressed interest in driving for us" I said, employee #xxxxx I did drive for you, how have things changed to make me want to work there again? She said, thanks for your time and hung up. Lmao

17 awake hours is surly enough quality time with your family, right driver?

If it isn't then find another job and leave the driving to the real truckers...lol ;) :p

I applied and it took nearly a year before they contacted me. They contacted me again 3 weeks ago after I hadn't sent them and app in years. They asked if I was interested, and I brought up the fact that many drivers complain about lack of hometime and only 34 hours off every week is terrible.

The guy said " but we get you home every week".

I then asked him how he would like to live in that office chair for 5 days, get off work at 5pm Friday night, and be required to be sitting in it by 3am Monday for another 5 straight days. The conversation didn't go farther.

Are they using some 3rd party agency for recruiting and vetting? Number didn't come up from Wisconsin, and guy seemed to know almost nothing about the company.

Aaahh. I get the it now. The guys griping the most are the ones who actually never worked here but wanted too.

    Priceless.

I think the intent of this forum is to report on a company after you have worked for them. Not to vent about a company because you are pissed at not getting hired. Nothing you said indicates a bad company. Most reputable companies will look at job change frequency.

I guess none of you company drivers can understand that home time is a PRIVILEGE.....if you don't like it then buy your own truck or get a part time local job because that's just the way trucking has and always will work.

The brainwashing is strong with you. You are one of the few out here who thinks being a slave to that truck and living in it 136 hours every week is part of your job. 90 % of your driver's are fed up as well and have had enough.

As I said before, just because they don't stink as much as other companies, it doesn't make them good and take away their turd status.

I drive OTR, and I hit it hard for 4 weeks and take a week off. No I am not paid as well as an Ashley driver, but that is only one aspect. I am also not driving a slow deathrap paperweight, or constantly rotting away in the worst parts of the east, northeast, and Texas.

Yes there was a time when I wanted to work here. Those days are long gone. If it takes them months to respond to an application, I would hate to see how they handle.other things. 600 trucks? Sorry, you really are just a number.

I am sure more current drivers will chime in on my side.
