The Yang-Mingster. The Yang-mingling. Every time I go by their containers in the stack, that's what pops into my mind.

With CMA and APL merging, the failure of Hanjin, Maersk doing some fancy foot work, I'm sure there are several companies out there in need of a merger to avoid failing. These ship lines expanded too much in the early 2000's and still have not recovered, with the global economy still faltering, they are having issues.

LOL I bet not, that was in technicolor days. A good percentage probably wasn't even born by 1980.

Taiwan sets aside 1.9 billion dollars?

Why is Hung borrowing money like a addict inside a pawnshop when there is never enough money to run the business worth a ####? They need to stop charging 500 bucks for a box and start standing up and demanding 1500 for that box. That should boost their revenue. It was not that long ago boxes were thousands each to cross a ocean.

If they go under other lines will happily take their boxes away and deliver. Shipping lines are very good at consuming the carcasses of those who fail.

Just don't be the poor Mr Joe clicking amazon to learn that your American Crap is going to be rotting in the Summer Pacific Sunshine and salt air for 5 months anchored off shore from the Long Beach or wherever port that embargoes the line.

If BIG shipping firms cannot survive on 14000 to 20000 post panamax ships then it wont matter if they put 100,000 boxes on really big ships. It will take them a thousand years to pay the interest on such a grotesque attempt to bulk past costs.
