I still believe the company is good to work for.. But I like to share the good with the bad.. today was just alittle of some bad I guess.. but it was all fixed so I'm going back to work happy which is what counts. I'm not a driver that complains about loads or other stuff much ever. The reason I think when I do have to call in and complain things get fixed vs me fired is I have a good reason if I'm complaining and work hard when I'm on the road. So they take care of me and I do right by them also.

I have 0 experience, but got a feeling this isn't something necessarily company-specific. Seems like something any company might pull on the OTR "work-horses."

No, My company would pay the otr driver whatever his hourly load or unload is equal to most likely a min. of $22. an hour

Yea a local driver would have no problem running around the city all day but otr here is payed by the mile, so 0 miles pays 0 dollars.. no matter how many hours we work driving around the city. They should have another pay scheme or something for work like this for otr drivers but nope not here. So it's best to refuse to do the work

I drove over to get my truck tonite so it's easy to take off in morning and they did a pm on my truck. I now have no air going into my driver seat.. I'm sitting on the floor and at 5'8 tall this is a major problem lol

In vtl I would have gotten $35 for each move under 50 miles. So, 3 trailer moves would have been $105. Not sure if you get shorthaul in tank world. Still not good money when you look at pre/post trips and drive time, but it can be great if you can manage them very quickly.

I thought i read somewhere that Schneider Bulk had some kind of ShortHaul Pay

Especially in a situation that they attempted to pulled on you with those trailer moves ... Does the ShortHaul not apply? (I may be getting my companies mixed up as well)

Again , thanks for the info here in your threads... Good info!

Yes they do, it where you do a load under 200 and 100 miles, I've done loads that payed an extra 50 bucks for doing before. I'm not sure on exact pay for the distances though
