Good to see the neighborhood ####### doing well ;)

Starting out wasn't great for me either but I never blamed it on trucking lol. Seemed like as soon as I hit the road #### would hit the fan at home. Nothing to do with the job, just bad timing.

Sure that's possible. And that has nothing to do with trucking. Trucking doesnt break people. Anyone broken by trucking was already a shattered mind before they ever sat in a truck.

Edit to clarify: i want to be clear that my previous comment want directed at him specifically. This entire thread is filled with snow flakes blaming trucking for problems they created.

Britton Transport seems ok for a smaller flatbed outfit and trucks have Tripac APU. @MrEd is the flatbed trainer there.
Philly is loaded with tanker companies.

OTR trucking can bring to the surface some underlying problems, so you're right in that respect.

No more so than many other careers. Heck the fireworks after the high school football game can send a guy over the edge. Its not the schools fault.

Not all Soldiers who served in Combat have PTSD and I know plenty that take advantage of the system to get that check... Not saying this guy does or doesn't but I just get sick and tired of this whole PTSD thing. That being said, I know a few that have something wrong with them and they have been labeled with PTSD. They need the pill's and constant surveillance, or they will kill themselves. Hell, my mother in-law who is 73 this year says she has PTSD from a car wreck, where a guy juiced up on Cocaine ran head on into her and a friend. The friend seems to be ok and so does my mother in-law. Life is a bidge sometimes, heck most of the time but do we really need label's? I have thought about suicide more times in the last two years than I have my whole life but, it will never happen, feels to cowardly for me to do that. My advice, for what it is worth, if your life is so bad, than get out of trucking and go do something that makes you happy. Sure, it won't be easy but, work towards that end. Don't let your emotions or PTSD control your life, you take control with your mind and decide what YOU want to do. Wish you all the best.
