Very large core charge so off it goes back to Cummins. The crossmember had to come out. I couldn't get enough height to get over it without bumping the cab. This is a 9200 so the engine is set way back in there.

Did it spring out? It almost looked like you'd have to put it back in from the top.

The sump is in front of the axle. OnceI I took the cross member out I only had to lift it about 3" out of the motor mounts and back strait out. I fought with it for about 1/2 hour with the crossmember in. No luck. Took the cross member out, EZPZ!!!!

I tried POR 15 with a brush but didn't like it so I sprayed the rest with Rustolium with hardener. The POR ran really bad and dried with a funny finish. Seems to be hard as a rock though. I painted the rear frame with rustolum last year and it still looks good except where it rubs (catwalk, mud flap hangers, where the 5th wheel slides.). There was tons of grease and caked on oil even though I pressure washed the crap out of it. It's all gone now.

I will say I can't get that POR off my arm!!!!!!!!!
