That looks 100% better than the one I had. Looks as if you can get a decent nap in that one.

    Dominick253 Thanks this.

No not me i always sleep underneath the van, protected from the elements and sleep really well when there is a light rain.

So... does that qualify as a sleeper berth in a daycab? :-D

I wish but the FMSCA has a specific rule about sleeper berth.

Correct me if I'm mistaken, but it is completely legal to take a 10 in a daycab with this correct? It just has to be marked as off duty, and obviously not sleeper berth. I was under the impression that there were rules in place that disallowed "sleeping across the seats", but there is not... correct? It just has to be marked as "Off Duty"...?

I'm sure I could find a lot of info on this subject if I searched... but, I gotta get back in a welding hood pushing a weld bead! :-D

    Dominick253 Thanks this.

Yep, perfectly legal to do so. Might give it a go for the occasional overnight I do.

They do, See 393.76 at eCFR — Code of Federal Regulations for sleeper berth requirements.
Yep, it was changed a few years back. The new rules make logging sleeper birth vs off duty irrelevant for a solo driver. Team drivers are still required to do at least 8 hours of their 10 hours off as sleeper berth.

    Dominick253 and CharlieK Thank this.
