Well it's startn' to look like I may be training to haul oversize/weight into canada and down to houstin'....not sure yet, maybe a clean MVR means more then I thought....It took applying at 2 companies...and making some phone calls to see what others had to say (like the get a letter thing). -We'll see....keep ya updated on what the DAC fix people say about changing 'incident/accident' to 'incident' ....gotta fax info. to them tomorrow. Takes a week to get they say. Let ya'll know if any othr useful info. comes up.

O.K. ....the latest news, my letter requesting a statement showing what the safety lady had told me (that they show me having incidents and no accidents- and that's what they reported to DAC) was recieved by previous employer. I was called (professionally/politely) by a higher up in safety and informed what had been stated in orientation (we have accidents no incidents) and that 'she must have read the screen wrong.' ....So I guess that's where it stands. He also stated that it was the first company he'd worked for that does that (no incidents only accidents) and that if a perspective employer wanted to call him directly he would go over my record with them (which I really appreciate as the truth looks way better then my DAC and he doesn't have to take the time out to do that).
-So as an unusual company policy this may or may not help any of you....if you work were I used to....no matter what anyone from safety tells you later on....go by the companies original statement in orientation (no incidents- only accidents).
And like the higher up safety guy said, most companies proably won't take the time to call and check into the severity of whats on my DAC. I agreed....
Now if that is how it is, then I have no argument with DAC changing what was reported. It was also how it was stated from the get go in orientation so I hold nothing against the company. (except that this is a bit brutal and cut-throat policy...but warned about from the begining). And the safety lady who 'misread the screen' I'm not sure what to think about, (as I asked her a few times to verify- no accidents). There's the conclusion, hope this helps someone and I'll post more if it occurs or is usefull to anyone.
On with the show....Last edited: Oct 29, 2008
