flathead not trying to be disrespectful but i think u have gotten ur point out there and u r beating a deadhorse. u didnt make it with hunt thats all it boils dwn too. u keep going over and over it ...move on . i believe life is wht u make of it and wht you put into it hunt didnt work out for you but it will for others and may not for some but in general crete/ hunt / shaffer happen to be a much better choice then alot of the others.so since u have spent so much time knocking them im sure with the sole purpose of preventing others from joining our team, maybe u can end your tirad and move on thnk you for your opinion i do appreciate it . but you will find 50 guys out there happy compared to 1 ...dont destroy someone elses chance at a possible future just because it didnt work for you thnk you and have a great career where u are at now i wish you all the best

Sorry you had it bad at Hunt. I know how you feel though. I worked for Hunt and they told me that the miles were 2800 to 3100 per week. Well, I averaged 1500 miles a week. I was also told that 1 out of 7 loads were tarp loads. That was also wrong since it was 6 out of 7 loads were tarp loads. Found out later that other drivers would not tarp, so I got thier tarp loads, I guess. And the no home time came into play with me also. I would usually get 1 day home for 8 weeks on the road. I delivered a load 20 miles from the house once and they told me I couldn't go home. Finally argued to much about home time and I dead headed home form Columbus,OH to Crystal, MI. Cleaned the truck out good and they recieved the truck and trailer two days later. They payed for all fuel to deadhead back to Omaha,NE. Went to work for Crete after that, that is another story.

http://www.thetruckersreport.com/tr....com/news_hunt/hunt.htm?articleno=987....they are both Acklie Group companies, making them a part of one another in some respects. Add Shaeffer into the mix along with HTL (the Owner/Op company side of Crete) and you pretty much have the entire group listed. ALL company trucks in the Acklie Group use the same shops and run within the same parameters of repair, upkeep, etc.

At one point in time Hunt could and did pull Crete trailers and vice versa. Just as you will see a Crete truck pulling a Shaeffer trailer and vice versa.

WOW the only thing you said that was true is that hunt is not a div of crete.I can tell you have not been driving long.I have 26 yrs otr.10yrs with hunt,1st as comp driver than as a trainer, now as a O/O.I was the Senior trainer before I got my own trk.1.Home time 1 day for every 6 days you are out up to 4 days.Longer than that is on a case by case bases.2.We have BC/BS and the with a $1,500 dct for family at 80/20 split.with a $6,000 max before BC/BS picks up 100%.YOU ARE NEVER ASKED TO RUN ILLEGAL.Your routing is a suggested rout, you need to pick up your map and find the best way to go to hit your fuel stops.Lies that is BS They tell you what they are told,we get booke for a load by a shipper and sometimes by the Con if disp is given bad info than you get bad info,So when you get disp on a load pick up the phone and call your customers to check your info.Time tables if you are going to be late let disp know asap and why.Training is 6 weeks unless you are not doing a good job than it may go to 8 weeks, you take a brake when you need it,you are given a 10 hr brake every night what you do on that 10 hrs is up to you,you stay up all night and don't get any sleep that's your prob.OTR is a 7 day a week job and that includes training.Flatbed is hard work if you wont a easy job drive a dryvan. You sound like one of my old trainee's he was a crybaby to who should not drive a truck unless it says Tonka on the side.GO GET A JOB AT TACO BELL.

So many whiners on this post basically it seems to me the whiners are all rookies get some time in the industry you'll find out every company has issues hunt is actually better than most if you want something much home time you really picked the wrong profession and that's all there is to it in a nutshell sorry but grow a pair, shift into the big hole drop the hammer and shut up
