I'm a dry van driver looking to get into flatbed. What are the best flatbed companies that haul diffrent types of freight(lumber, coils, pipes, vehicles, boats, etc). Also looking for a carrier that provides plenty of miles 2400+. I'm 29 living in Ohio.

As far as flatbed companies go, generally flatbed pays higher than dry van freight. And the better flatbed freight companies tend to pay percentage of the load.
My company pays 27%. If the line haul rate to the truck, minus the fuel charge is $1000 then I make $270 of it. To date with my company my average is .58cpm on all miles loaded, and .64cpm on all miles. Yes I know, my deadhead has been a bit high lately.cke, TripleSix and johndeere4020 Thank this. -
