i guess it's time to accept the fact that my paper logs are going to be history in December. What's everybody doing about elogs and which ones are affordable without some huge monthly fee??

Here is the current list of approved eld providers. I can testify to how easy the keep trucking system is

Yeah I would go with the keep trucking app. That's what I use and its just like using paper logs but digital.

Right. I don't have one of those and that's not going to work in the long run anyways because the insurance companies are going to jack up your rates until you can't afford to run that.

There are two versions of keep trucking, the KT logbook app. used on smart phones and is free, and the KT electronic logging device (ELD) which costs $20 a month, per truck.

The app will not fly after the law takes effect because it doesn't collect any data from the engine (AOBRD, EOBR, or ELD). Anyone not exempt and using the app after the law takes effect is going to be in for a surprise.

The app will work so long as you purchase the Bluetooth odb2 plug because that is where the data is taken from

Right but, you still have to have the ELD and not just the app., which was what I was referring to in the above post.
