@Cat sdp ... you know your tankers, and probably asphalt better 'n me, from your previous stuff. Why the heck would 3257 take 5 hours to offload?!?!? That wash for @19d is gonna be a whole nother event, I'm thinking.

We use our same handful of trailers, and rinse/repeat... only rinsing once every 3 months. Idk.

Ain't THAT the truth! You even said, you "don't" unload your tanks (ie: the 5 hours, maybe? :( ) A 53'er is gonna take you that between backing, docking, and unloading, methinks!

Question for fellow tanker o/o's... Besides the obvious ( money) what else do you take into consideration when accepting a load? Are the rates product or customer driven? Trying to find out what would be the best way to run the truck.

It took them a solid 4.5 hrs unloading it but I didn't mind. I got sick bad yesterday, I just left that place at midnite and arrived in baton rogue just a bit ago. I was throwing up something awful like. Either I gotta do a restart now or I will run off recap starting sat morning. My home time starts the 20th at 5pm so I think I can just run recap till then. I still too nooby to figure this recap stuff out or do a reset. Either way I'm just ready to go home. Been out 3 weeks now

Product temp and or polymers could be an issue....

My guess for problems would be a collapsed hose or gasket sucking air... pos pump or fill line that's coked up.

No way should a Asphalt load take 5 hours to come off... I've had a few take 2 hours tho.
