Company pays for hotels. Every terminal has a company hotel. To use them you just get approval from home terminal and check in with your company ID card.

I also used to pay for hotels on my credit card and get reimbursed once I got home and turned in expenses. It pretty much made running recap a dumb thing to do. Layover pay is $160 for a 34 reset so best course of action was to run hard and reset 2 nights in a hotel.

System is pretty much what you are doing at SNB now. You go from terminal to terminal dispatched on loads from them. I now run dedicated. All my loads are out and back from High Point. The customer requires that no other product is hauled in the tanks they use so they are "dedicated" to that customer.

Almost exactly what I do, Rob. One customer. One (basic) product. We even swap trailers with them, on occasion.

Rate ,time involved and aggravation. A good rate means I'm more flexible with other two..,..

Customers (the big ones) call the shots on rates......

Where I'm going to be after the load delivers. If I'm running system (OTR) I want to sit as little as possible, so if that good paying load puts me in a poor lane, I'll pass on it.

Other considerations are how much of a pita the shipper/consignee is, or what kind of equipment I need. I recently passed on a good paying load to a good lane because the shipper would take minimum 6 hours to load, guaranteed I get stuck in Boston area evening rush...ON A FRIDAY...No thanks.

5 hours!...Wow! The stuff I haul is super thick and I'm empty in an hour to an hour and fifteen minutes pushing it off with 5 to 10 psi.....5 hours is insane!
