These Schneider drivers that make 52 cents every mile plus their assessory pay do pretty good. I'm nowhere near 52 yet (46 soon to be 48) and make 1400-1600 most weeks. So either they high up their or just lazy. Or maybe snbc quits giving them the miles who knows. If I was at 52 cpm my checks would be 17-1800, I would think.
And if or when I switch companies you know I'm going to the blue side.. closer to home and great company I hear from all..

You're right, of course. It just seems wrong. But I'll drop it. I've only been on the tanking side just under 2 years. I still have alot to learn. Ive posted what I'm paid and I'm the lowest paid guy here. But yet I have an issue with split pay lol. Yes, I'm a hypocrite.
But I'm not ready to jump ship yet. Maybe when I decide where I want to live. I almost applied at the Superior Pasadena terminal, but didn't know if I could handle living in such a big city.

KAG is always hiring, everywhere around me, anyway. Once u get two under your belt; they will take you. Minimum, 2 years. Fuel hauling, but.... great money.

N Chicago Dry bulk for me the next 3 days. I like this load because they let us weigh the trailer at the delivery and leave the paperwork on a desk inside. Drop and hook with no schedule or waiting once you get back. Still get paid $20 for 15 minutes work.

I had just started hanging around here and then disappeared. I gave two weeks notice, leaving here at the end of June.

I have a line on a flatbed job, home every night (maybe overnight once or twice a month), no tarp, really nice heavy haul equipment, set my own hours as long as i get the job done. He said about 5% of the loads are oversize, so maybe once or twice a month I'd get something 75' long or 14' high or overwidth or up to 140k or some combination of those things. In short, my dream job. Not that I don't like pulling tankers, but I really love flatbedding.

I appreciate you guys making me feel welcome here. I'll still be around, but might spend more time over with the flatbedders if I get this gig.

Oh, and @19d, don't even kid about those dollar general jobs. What a nightmare that would be. I know a guy who's done it for 20 years, makes 90k a year, but I wouldn't say he loves it.

He probably spends close to what he takes home and is trapped.

Yeah, I'm not making what I was told I would. That pay is for a couple of dedicated runs that I can't get because I don't live near the terminal. If I do tänker again, I want some hourly pay with the mileage, or just flat hourly.
