I am set for orientation at abother company on the 31st of this month, however I will only get 1 day off for every 7 days out, so i'm looking at all my options still.
Is it realistic to make a minimum $45k my fiest year with Werner? More is great, a little less is okay, but over 40 is a MUST.
What is the pay per mile? Is it worth it? Can you stack time by staying out longer? I was planning on running 6 to 10 weeks at melton and being home 6 to 10 days at a time. Well, also using that stacked time to take trips to India to see my fiance O.O lol
What is Werner Enterprise's pay like?

My advice, STAY away from Werner, I worked for them for 30 days, that was 29 days 23 hours 59 minutes and 59 seconds to long. My opinion.

If you have experience you should seek elsewhere.

Working for a mega will limit your home time to max 5 or 6 days. And that is once a year. Majority of time off is. 3 days off.
Pay depends on your experience level as well as what you agree to. Rookies can see .30/mile.
120k a year at .32/mile ya gross 40k that before taxes. So your guess on making 40k and getting alot of time off, is very unlikely.LtlAnonymous and chris_karr Thank this. -
Running 10 weeks for 10 days off with Melton looks good to me then! Plus extra pays and good benefits. I've always wanted to run flatbed but was willing to sacrifice if there was a better deal. I am looking to run under my own authority in a few years.

I think you will find with a lot of company's that thy only allow so many days off at a time no matter how long your out. Just because you stay out 7 weeks doesn't mean you will be able to take seven days off. Would be worth asking the recruiter up front if there are limited number of days at home.

Pay was .35 cpm to start with a bump to .36 cpm the next year. Bonuses here and there - mileage, safety. I don't recall their frequency however.
Stacking time is possible as well. You'll probably be your FM's wet dream.Mike2633 Thanks this.
