I work here now. It is very frustrating. You have to really watch your pay every week. I went 12 weeks in a row with my paycheck wrong. They don't pay you back for cash you pay out unless you stay on them for 2 months. They don't pay any detention so don't ask. You have to relay at least twice a week. You will get 2500 miles a week only once in a while. I have to fight to get above 1800 a week. Cross country trips must be saved for a select few, that is until winter comes then you will see the pacific northwest when those few don't want to go up there. Lots of 500 miles in 3 days trips. But on the positive side great place to be if you have another source of income, nice equipment. My driver manager is great always fighting with payroll to get me what they owe me.

My driver manager was the reason my payroll was never right. It was like talking to a 4 year old, constantly repeating myself. It took months sometimes to get my detention/bordercrossing/ NYC pay. And that was reminding him every week. That's if I could get him, or anybody else for that matter, to answer the phone.

Communication is horrible, especially when it comes to home time, they forget every time I went.

I've worked for Tribe for 3.5 yrs. When I started we were wide open, paper logs, huge miles, only 50 trucks. Now we have almost 300 with some o/o and a new lease program and new large terminal in 2018. As you may expect there have been changes. They are very aggressive about getting new and better customers, especially light high dollar freight. IMO they are pro driver. Guaranteed base for teams. When I started there was no turnover. Now there is some many return.

I can say from my personal experience at tribe is that they absolutely suck. I put up with them for almost 3 years giving them benefit of the doubt over and over and it never got better. Only worse. They have no idea how to dispatch, they keep you 2 weeks in the hole for a reason, they don't care to wake you up just to ask if you sent a empty call, they want you to take your time on the road to maintain their equipment , the rudest most inexperienced dispatchers I have ever saw, if your not one of their "buddies" prepare to get the shaft. I did have a few good times with this company I won't lie but the bad outweighs the good by a long shot. Good luck to anyone who decides to go to work for them. Lord knows you will need it.

Warning, you don’t want to work for these people at all costs... your better off at Swift or Werner!
Minimum pay/guaranteed pay for teams is $1250 per driver per week plus extra pay like detention (when it’s approved, never) high value pharmaceutical loads that are real pain in the ### and that you almost have to be stripped searched to get the load and then you sit and wait to relay it to a solo driver and then they try to shaft you on the extra pay for the pharm load to begin with. Lots of sitting waiting on relay loads, with no pay (team minimum) sitting at docks, sitting at receivers with no pay except after three hours if you get someone to sign you in and out times and gain the approve it, not likely to happen!
You are responsible for all over the road maintenance and making sure it’s done on time or they will back charge a driver for running over on miles like for a late lube job $25, over on fuel filter mileage another $25 and loss of fuel bonus (that they say you never earned anyway) heard one driver who was cleaning out his truck told me that he damaged a trailer, backing in blind side at a customer, he admitted it, reported it and so on.... three weeks later they ding his check for $500 bucks! Very hard to get someone on the phone, there office is very very over crowded and even hearing someone on the phone once you get them is very hard. Each Driver Manager has two phones and they can’t even place you on hold, they pay the phone down and scream at each other in the office. All this Maintenace has to be planned ahead of time, can’t be done at night or on the weekend cause you can’t get a PO and never ever not even once, lay out one dime for these cheap ######## cause it will take weeks to get your money back... lost paperwork, scan and trip pack and make sure you keep copies they will hold your money till they have their paperwork... let’s talk pay days, pay week runs Tuesday through Monday of any given week, don’t think your getting paid that on Friday coming up, it’s the NEXT Friday... so yes your two complete paycheck in the hole! Folks that’s like let’s say $1800 if your getting miles and yep you guessed, forget getting that money once you turn in your truck, they will ding you for clean out, out of route miles, wear and tear, lose this and that, too many bugs on the windshield and so on! Native American owned Business my ###, that’s just for taxes and cheap loans people, don’t buy into the hype and the pretty face! Back to trucking my average length of haul was 725 Miles... trucks run 70 mph, driver facing camera, elogs and speed gauge... here again all for looks and insurance discounts... will call you in the middle of the night and ask you to move and swap loads, deliver loads... their elogs are Setup so you move about 6/7 MILES before it even logs on driving! People trucking is serious business now and they are putting drivers ##### in jail now, run legal, run safe and work for a company that respects you, pays you well and gets you home often, lots of good companies out there.... sadly this is not one! They shine like a pretty new penny on the outside, but they are a complete joke to work for!
