I'm picking up a truck next week. I'd like to drive my car down there and tow it back on a U Haul tow dolly.
Is there rental equipment I can add to the rear of the truck? Or I'll have to ride one of my bikes and figure out a way to lift it and secure it behind the cab.

I'll bet Uhaul can install a hitch on the truck just as well as they can on a pickup, although maybe they won't drill holes, I don't know. -
-
I kinda doubt Uhaul would have the equipment to drill the holes in a set of heat treated frame rails to mount that type hitch... Ive been wrong before though... LOL

Just go to a trailer place, tell them what you want and they will put it on. That section of frame is not heattreated, and many have out a hitch in the back for many reasons, just look at dumps that haul construction trailers.
Grubby Thanks this. -
An RV place would probably be able to help him out also, if he cant find a trailer shop close. Just an idea to keep in mind.

Buy a vehicle specific hitch and YOU can bolt it on, no drilling required. I have installed the "universal fit" hitches for guys...those you need a drill and welder and maybe a grinder and a torch...
