A wise decision, I'd say. IKO pallets are heavy. It's all my big ### can do to even budge one of those with a pallet jack.

Any load of shingles I've done I always use two straps per pallet. Since you can't crank the straps down real tight it makes me feel better.

Those are skidded really funny. Usually shingles are 3x3, yes. Not sure why they would go out of their way to use non-standard size pallets?

A full skid of shingles can weigh up to 4500 lbs. Two straps is always a good idea. I always hate the fact they aren't strapped to the skid, or unitized in any way.

    Yup 4000 pounds or more
I think I've always done 2 per skid. Seen lots 2 on the front one on the rest
My trucks already fat. I wish I had V boards. It'll happen just not today.

4 per row is a standard size for some shippers. I have only hauled one load of shingles and they were 4 per row. I also used to work at a place that reused free pallets from a roofing company and they had both sizes.
