I don't think that even the busiest of busybodies could possibly look at anything I've written here and try to say that I've done anything but show undying love for this company. But every man has a line. And that's it right there.

Ya tomorrow should be an interesting drive. BRF to Walton Ky, but I will tell you this....shaking the gear shifter isnt needed in an auto....believe me I tried like 5 times just from the 5 miles I've driven it today lol. And hoping I dont put a hole thru the floor trying to push the clutch in and then nothing being there lol

I do. And I'll have one. But not one of those. I believe this is it for me. I love Millis. Always have, always will. I will always promote them,

I do appreciate being in an automatic now, I'm in a 2016, it is restrictive enough with the radar that is in it, but the one you describe sounds like a nightmare!

So, I started a post by responding to this....
And got booted by my phone when typing this....
So here's the rest. I love Millis. Really and truly. If you are looking for a company to launch your career and take care of you every step of the way, this is it. From the front office to dispatch, from school to trainer, and from shipper to receiver, you really can't do any better, especially as a new driver. I can show you numbers. No company out there is paying .42CPM for newbie drivers. Go ahead and look, I'll pay you on a bet if you prove me wrong. So far through July I have run 75k miles. Again, because I want to promote Millis, I will show you my payroll statements and miles if you want to compare them against anyone. This is the Holy Land. This is the Mecca. But The new radar and the camera settings are pushing me away. It's time to put on my big boy pants and go buy a truck. I love all of you, truly, from the bottom of my heart. Peggi, thank you for helping me make an informed decision. Opie, thank you for taking care of me and providing me with the loads that keep my family on track and keeping my budget in line. Thank you David, very much. You'll never know what that one-on-one meeting meant to me and how much it solidified my view of your company. From top to bottom, you are the best company I have ever had the privilege to work for. But the babysitting is too much. The day will never come, and I mean NEVER, where I won't recommend you guys. But I didn't get into this game to be a company driver. And I will stay, absolutely, if owner-op is an option. Just say the word. But I am not down with Big Brother. The ball is in your court, and my decision will be based on yours. Goodnight, Truckerland. Talk at ya soon.

This thread has been one of the most helpful and enlightening I have run across, and really makes me feel better about a possible jump in careers.
I hope you either continue this thread, or create a new daily thread when you hop over into owner/operator land. I know when I get closer to making the jump, I will be hitting you guys up with my questions. Seriously, this has been a great resource.

Ask away, brother. There's one thing you'll always find here, and that's friendly folks who will answer your questions. This is a wonderful company, and produces good drivers with a very family-minded attitude.
