Throttle control, extremely light pedal effort...there's a skill to driving an auto..you don't have it.

No matter what these are still mechanical transmissions with a clutch and will sometimes act like an unskilled driver at times even though they have a RND shifter. If what you want is to drive like your car an Allison true automatic is the only way to go. If you have the extra coin that is.

My thoughts exactly, hate driving an autoshift. No skill required also changes the dynamic of Georgia overdrive.

Try holding the upshift button for four seconds to enter into the secondary program configuration. It makes the clutch response have less of an "urge to move" for docking and hooking up a trailer. Exit mode by holding downshift button for four seconds.

Alternatively - feather the throttle pedal while backing (fully remove pressure from pedal). Almost like tapping your foot to a very slow beat. It'll keep the clutch slipping for slower backing. Keep in mind it will heat up the clutch if done for too long or under high load conditions - watch for the "CA" display warning you of high clutch heat when doing so.
