Quick lesson. Driver once sued for an injury while at work. It was later discovered that it happened while he was on line 1. WM got all there money back from him.

If your working line 3 or 4 and that's it. If different once something happens. Well you will be calling Roxy asking for your job back.

When I was in orientation, we were told it would be advantageous for us to go off duty as much as possible to save back time for day 6 (by a member of management). I knew one driver who has been with the company for years would have enough time to work a full 14hr day on day 6.
I stopped doing this when I realized it was my butt on the line if something happened while I was off duty, but actually working (supervising a live load/unload, doing a double drop/hook at a store where all docks were occupied, etc).
With all of the changes that I've seen in just 3-4 years that do nothing but help the company's bottom line and screw the driver, I'm looking out for me and my paycheck, nothing else.

I don't understand your logic. You could be earning pto while getting paid by being on duty @vendor like you are supposed to be & earning UT pay. You get paid zero and shouldn't need 2 hours cleaning out truck. Be careful sandbagging hours. Your asking for trouble.

    Woodenleg Thanks this.

I have a lot of stuff to clean out, clothes bags, work bag, cpap stuff, cooler, pillows, bedding (sheets, comforter) mattress topper. Have to clean truck trash, vacuum ect. Takes at least 2 hours.

I've been injured at work (fell on ice) and never sued nor thought of it. That's the problem with this country, too many people suing over everything. My employer didn't even know it happened at work.

We'll if I'm in the sleeper, I'm not working and can't get injured. Unless a comet lands on my truck.
