    - Health Insurance ($300 on them, the rest on you, but drivers told me they dont pay a single dime, unless they get additional addons, or add people to it)
    - Paid Holidays (6 major holidays)
    - 1 Weeks Paid vacation
    - 401K
    - Weekend Bonus if you work ($75 per sat/sun)

I think that's what i know, probably missing more. @4noReason got to experience these benefits lol i wish i did!

If your getting 401k and paid holidays, how are you 1099? That's a lawsuit waiting to happen.

The LA/LBC ports for a o/o are up and down, hit and miss. Most o/o's need $2500-$3000 gross to net $1500-1700 a week.

I might be switching to containers soon. Any advice is appreciated, been hauling dry van and had a short adventure on tanker side. I have only hooked to a chasis in the yard to put it in the dock lol

Go tanker or run regional If owner operator local sucks in Chicago with this elog crap you will be a grumpy person at end of day and take it out on family or a bottle for what? Not enough money in it to be stressed bro if truck not seeing at least 500 a day you are headed for failure just my 2 cents

Not running in Chicago. Probably will do mix of local and regional stuff to test it.

There's more money to be had in tanking. I've done both.

I agree, but things did not work out for me where I was. I wouldn't mind hauling cans for less money if My schedule is more predictable.
