Im not trying to be mean man. I just don't understand. How can a person be happy with the scraps being thrown from their masters table when there is plenty of open seats at the tables next door?driverdriver and kanidana Thank this. -
A lot of these so called "owner/operators" that came from company drivers were taking home $800-$900 a week as company. Running "where you want" in an truck that's not governed and getting $1500 a week sounds great to them.
Until they realize they're actually making less than a company driver. Then you see their truck parked at Charlotte or Gary along with the hundreds of others.
It's no wonder they will lease a truck to a driver w/ 6 months experience. Who better to get to run cheap?hawkjr, Opus, driverdriver and 6 others Thank this. -
driverdriver and spyder7723 Thank this.

driverdriver, Cat sdp and QuietStorm Thank this.

When i was in orientation with mercer..i was still able to access loadboard of sni and showed some of the pitiful loads...like from Yakima wa to Bakersfield ca for........
.67mi 45k lb load...who in the heck would even remotely consider that....sadly there's people there that would...
Secondly, there's a guy on sni facebook group named james who brags about running for 1.24mi avg running 4k mi a week to gross 5k to the truck...he says this is is the easy way....he posts his spreadsheets on the page...it's laughable how he thinks that's great....he says he spends roughly $1500 wk in fuel....but claims he's taking home $2500 wk leasing a truck....he's a fmr co driver...these are the people that sni wants...smhdriverdriver Thanks this. -
The highest money I've ever made in trucking was as a company driver...42k gross. As a lease op highest was 30 gross. Taxable after deductions 18k
-
Would I want to make 4k a week? Of course. I think you missed my point about perspective
-
$1500 a week net is 72K a year. That's not a bad wage. $1500 a week settlement statement? No...I mean $1500 a week after all expenses to include taxes have already been taken out.
kanidana Thanks this.
