Solar Eclipse

"People from Australia and New Zealand" in Oregon... for a two minute event. Crazy.

 

And wouldn't it just suck that you spend $hundreds or $thousands to get to your target location, only to find it clouded over in the hours surrounding the eclipse.

 

The eclipse chaos could be 10 times the Y2K chaos. Cities on fire, riots, cats & dogs living together. It was like the end of the world, except NOTHING happened.

 

People in Chicago waited hours in line for the free sunglasses they were giving out for the eclipse...No Thanks... I'll be taken a nap wake me up when it's over!!!

 

I might watch it in Cuba, MO,
The Flying J in Sullivan would be a little bit closer to it, but I like Cuba better

 

I got a load from Yakima WA to Virginia, looks like I can be in the heart of it in Grand Island NE Monday. However, may not get there due to crush of traffic. Considering taking the northern route, I-90 across then down and skipping the big E this time.

 

Guess I better stock up on beer Sunday .
Hate to see the grid go down and force the liquor stores to close lol

 

Clouds is starting to be the topic on the local news and weather. Very good possibility.

 

Lady in St.Joe MO told me that a group of Chinese rented a vacant parking
lot for the day. I understood at least part of the group is travelling all the way
from China, to watch the sun for two minutes......the same sun they can see
if they stay home.
