CA= produce and technology and the inbetweens.
But the problem with produce is MANY trucks are into that business which messes up the load to truck ratio. More trucks, less loads ='s a shippers/broker market.
As I've said for years "big trucks, big money, big bills"
Yes there is money but what are you going to do to LIMIT your overhead, decrease your expenses, and increase your income:
If You have these answers then you may have traction in this business -

But anyways;
LS charges 27% if you have your own trailer. They pay for cargo, liability give you fuel discounts/ tire discounts/ even will loan you money if you need to. THE PLUS side to this- you always know what the rate is. The way I saw it was; LS was the big bank, that paid us while they wait on their net 30/60/90 payments
{ downside } for your operation is; it takes about a month to hire on a driver with LS
Or you could go own your own authority, and foot your own insurance and wait for your payments. If your cash flow is strong this could be rewarding as well. And hiring a driver would be as simple as getting the driver approved by your insurance company (etc) -
I personally wouldn't recommend any other company other than LS to lease to while hiring a driver; because at least with LS you have a higher degree of controlling your income compared to the flat rate $1 plus fsc companies.
But then again I have an uncle that's an o/o with Dart for over ten years and has like ten children and every time I see him he's smiling with his gold tooth showing.Blackeagle23 and jsnell Thank this. -
