Home button (on top)/cog (bottom left)/System settings (top right)/Storage & USB (middle right)/Internal Storage/Apps/Scroll down till you see RM Services/Tap on/Clear Data.

Turn off/on and see if still trying to download.

There is a way, but the TND-740 is not Internet, nor Browser enabled to the user.

Yes the logs would help if the Truck GPS part of the software crashed. If the Android side burbled then the .navi/bin/logs will not show anything.

Maps are updated already and the maps did not update. Not on server yet. So, what leads you to believe the Maps updated?

For the TND-x40's

If on build (main screen/Bottom left Cog/System Settings(right side)/About Tablet (bottom right)/Scroll up/Build number -)

If on Build Number 0407 (you should see MRA59B.xxx_x_x_xx0407_xxx)
You should see the following updates.
OTA (Over the Air) to 20170418 (Latest Build)
Map data update to 20170823 – Includes update to POI, Construction, TF, TD, MCRA images, Lane Guidance, and Walmart POI. (Map Data meaning - DB updates, not the Map Set)

If on Build Number 0418 (you should see MRA59B.xxx_x_x_xx0418_xxx)

If you check your Build and find you are still up on Build "0407", connect to a Hot Spot and check for updates. (main screen/Bottom left Cog/System Update (right side)

If you do not see any updates being pushed then I will need your Serial Number off the back of your TND-740.

If you did not register in the beginning.

All tablets will receive notification of updates available regardless of registration. Once you attempt to download the update, you will be taken to the registration page and asked to register. Upon registration you will be able to download the update.
