I was just offered a load to Houston at over $3 a mile plus generous detention pay to sit on it if I couldn't make it to delivery. I turned it down. I ran through a flash flood once in a truck I didn't own. No way I repeat that mistake in a truck I own.
Getsinyourblood and austinmike Thank this. -

Glad I dont go thru Houston anymore. Just got home from west tx. lectricity was on and no leaks so I was happy. Neighbors bike was blown over, wind caught the cover. I guess none of the snowflakes that live here could pick it up, so I set it back up. Couldnt just leave it laying there. Had 6 inches in the gauge, still raining, creek dint get very high.

In Beaumont right now, parked next to a bunch of FEMA trucks. Should deliver in the morning but seems like this right here will be home for a little while. Too bad I don't like Arby's.
