Lol, that's funny you never saying it was mercer fault. But it's apples to oranges comparison of mercer loads and load boards.

What would be of use is how many of those 1300 are duplicate from multiple carriers, how many are posted with different origins but same loads, how many are absolutely ridiculous rates .

It's like razzle dazzle, but when you seperate the chafe there's not near as much grain as you thought.

It's not as simple as some of the magic bullet gurus lead folks to believe.

It's a real eye opener for sure.

Enjoy the ride. I wonder though if your criticism of mercer hasn't been modified by your realisation that you can now broker loads thru them now,. Yep you get 8 per cent more doing it that way.

And again the very fact that you say there is no system, proves the fact you never learned how to properly utilize it.

Simply put there are ways to maximise your output. Knowing when to go someplace or where to go , all plays in.

Putting the blame on agents holding loads, buddy system, fan bought, and on and on, is simply a crutch for folks who haven't figured things out.

Those skills are useful for folks with authority also

It would be nice to be able to pull freight from other sources while under Mercer's authority.

Yes, if you stay in Mercer's lanes then you can stay busy. But get out of their main areas & it can be hard getting out. If we had the option of other load sources without having to jump through a bunch of hoops then we could pull a good Mercer load to an area that Mercer is weak in & still get a decent load out. That's one thing I like about Admiral Merchants. You can pull from any load source. It is what it is & I'll do the best I can with what I've got to work with.

You can get loads from outside sources. And its pretty easy to do assuming they have good credit. Obviously mercer isn't gonna let you pull for just any tom dick and Harry that has lots of past due bills.

There is a couple different ways. The easiest way is to run it through an agent.

Running it thru an agent you get paid as any other load,

If you don't , you get paid when they get paid and a couple more rules to follow.

That procedure should in blue notebook you got at orientation.

But guess what? That is part of learning the system , that some say doesn't exist.

Hmm...I'll recheck the blue book. I don't remember much about this being in there but I will look again.

I guess if I find a load on another load board then I just call my favorite agent & have them book it (as long as it's an approved broker) & then it is just like the rest of the broker freight I haul. That's simple & simplicity often gets over looked.
