Looking for an expert owner operator truckers advice on how much should we bid on PO, V and R on brokered loads going into Florida for Hurricane Relief from East coast & Midwest. Also what's a reasonable Detention or Layover amount. Thanks in advance!

WHAT do they yet NEED?~?~! I'm on the ready to head down as well, when needed. Any suggestions? We don't yet KNOW what they need; can't even enter the state. My wife's family is ALL down there, and I'm ready to go with the bossmans blessings and Pete........for free....but a few bucks to cover fuel would be nice. Could always drag a pup for GFS or JB, and another pup full of supplies from the Red Cross perhaps? I'm not an O/O but pretty close .... free reign I/C sorda.
    Suggestions?!?!?

No idea. All I see is brokered FEMA loads. Taking a load there for free would definitely help brokers out, but not sure about anybody else.

Gotcha. Kinda what I thought. @Mike2633 had a really good idea in his 2nd first date thread, and in my garage thread, however.
Wonder how one would go about pulling a load for an LTL to cover fuel and expenses, and a 2nd pup with supplies, if such person doesn't 'work' for that company?!?

I booked $5,500 Wednesday afternoon on a load of frozen. Nashville pick Wednesday night to Orlando delivered Friday morning. That's $8 a mile. @BoyWander and a few others on here have seen the rate con and know I'm not just making stuff up. It was not a FEMA load and was a 1 p and 1 d. I don't think I'd go down there after the disaster has already come thru for any less than $10 a mile and $1,000 per day layover. But that's just me. Every time a storm is coming into Florida I like to score a good load that delivers there just before it hits.
