Wassup everyone. Tonight I'm in BRF, and not by choice. Opie had some sweet miles lined up for me, but it isn't gonna happen. Once I dropped my Smuckers load in Fairburn, I was sent to Alabama to pick up a load bound for Arcadia Wisconsin. Beautiful run. It was set to deliver tomorrow morning, but I was allowed to drop it 24/7 whenever. Opie gave me a preplan for a load that picked up 60 miles away going to Kentucky anytime tomorrow. Perfect! My drop in Arcadia was dnh and should have been easy, but it wasn't. And here's where it all falls apart... This place was massive, and not well marked. It took forever just to find the shipping office. When I checked in, I was told where to drop my trailer. This place is under some major construction and that affected the drop lots. I couldn't find it, so I had to go back to the shipping office and figure out where it was. The lady at the window was extremely unhelpful. She finally called a spotter to show me where to go. The lot that the woman tried to send me to no longer exists. I had to find a place to turn around so that I didn't have to blindside, and that was a chore. I finally got my trailer dropped and went back to the office to get an empty. No empties available. At this point, I have been screwing around for an hour and a half. On a dnh.... Christ. So, dispatch had me grab an outbound load and drop it in BRF for another driver, and I picked up her empty. At this point I had an hour and 15 minutes of time left, and the next load is an hour away. It doesn't look good, Coach. I let dispatch know that I'd have to park here for the night and get my load in the morning. There wasn't anywhere to go that could get me close to the pickup, so I set up camp at the Cenex, and I'll be heading out as soon as my 10 is up. The load picks up 24/7, so I can get it whenever. The final is 650 miles away, no chance I can get there tomorrow. It would have made for a killer check and to Opie's credit he sure tried. And I did too. You gotta love it when a receiver completely derails a good plan. Welcome to trucking. I just got all my paperwork in and approved my logs, so I'm all caught up until tomorrow. Gonna stop in real quick at The Orange Moose and grab a burger and call it a night. Until tomorrow, my friends, take it easy out there. Be safe and keep the rubber side down. Peace y'all.

Well tomorrow is the first attempt at the CDL exam after close to 8k miles out with my trainer. Wish I could say that I was optimistic but my backing is TERRIBLE. I honestly think that I am worse now than I was while in school. Spent a couple hours on the practice yard at Trenton today and just managed to frustrate myself even more. Let's just pray for a straight line and some offsets, Alley dock and I am screwed.

At least I have had the chance to spend the last 2 nights at home. Going to go mow the yard and try and forget about the test,

3000+ paid. I am driving about 75% of the time. That is the beauty of the Millis training pay arrangement that we get paid for all miles. I am pretty much not touching any of the Millis pay in case I can not finish and need to buy out my contract. Another few weeks and I will have enough socked away.

Hang in there man. That’s easy for me to say, I guess, but I’ll be thinking about you and hoping things go well for you. That couple of days at home might make all the difference in the world.

Hey all, greetings from Oakwood Illinois. Today was a good day, which makes for an awfully boring post. There isn't a lot to report this evening. I left the truck stop this morning and headed to my pickup in Neillsville Wisconsin and started heading to my final in Walton Kentucky. My load was originally due today but my delivery time was changed to 1pm or sooner tomorrow. Very easily done, as I'm only 3.75 hours away. I should have been in bed an hour ago, but I needed to take care of a couple things for the home front. Sometimes I wish there was two of me just to keep everything on track. But the world definitely doesn't need that lol. Everything was very smooth sailing today. Great weather, very light traffic. I didn't exactly light the world on fire, but I did get 450 miles. Not great, but not bad. That's about all I got for the day. Time to call mama, then hit the sack. Hope y'all are doing well. Have a good night, and be safe out there. See ya tomorrow. Peace.
