Hey guys this is my first time posting on the forums, I've been a reader for a couple years now and finally decided to make the move and start trucking school.
I live in Columbus Ohio and start school at Roadmaster this weekend. I really don't think I am cut out for OTR so I am looking at staying local or possibly regional if local doesn't work out. My question is does anyone know of any local companies that hire new drivers? I'm also wondering if these local jobs would not give me the experience needed to later move on to LTL or some other type of driving since I assume some of them wouldn't require much backing or dock loading/unloading.
Thank you guys for any advice! I've really enjoyed reading the forums over the last couple years

Start submitting applications the first day of cdl school; don't wait until graduation. Submit as many as you want; the more the better.JRHtrucker Thanks this. -
